The second episode of Lazarus is out, and Axel has now officially become a member of Lazarus. Without wasting any time, the group headed to the first trace of Dr Skinner that they found. Although the latest episode didn’t offer as much action as the previous one, it still gives important clues about where the story is headed.

2. Recap of Episode 2 of Lazarus
The second episode of Lazarus, titled “Life in the Fast Lane”, started with Hersch telling Axel that the wristband they had put on him would constantly track his location, so he couldn’t run away. If he tried to forcibly take it off, it would electrocute him and cause his arm to fly off. He also noticed that every other member with him had a similar bracelet and realised that all of them were in a similar situation.
After this, Doug briefed everyone about Dr Skinner and his history, and from what everyone collected, Skinner was a great person. He was a simplistic man who donated all the money he received from his Nobel prize and even relinquished all the patents for the drugs he created. They still had no clue as to where he went three years ago, until one of their members, Eleina, found the record of one of Dr Skinner’s transactions with a Nuclear Shelter Trading Company, so Lazarus found their first hint.
They split into two groups: Axel and Christine, and Doug and Leland, and both groups went to separate companies to investigate Dr Skinners traces. Axel’s team went to a Nuclear Shelter in Arizona, which seemed to be deserted, but many other organisations also had their eyes on the same spot, so Christine and Axel got attacked when they wandered inside the shelter. After Axel had knocked quite a few of those people, the FBI also showed up. Once they realised they were all on the same side, they interrogated the man in the shelter to realise that he was not Skinner.
Meanwhile, Leland and Doug found themselves in a more hilarious situation in Kobayashi Shelter sales. They entered with the hopes of finding Skinner, but instead found loan sharks searching for a man named Kobayashi. After much confusion, they realised that they had been completely misled and that their mission was far more difficult than they had imagined it to be.
3. Speculation of Episode 3 of Lazarus
The second episode of Lazarus ended with Eleina discovering that her face recognition program discovered at least a thousand different Dr Skinners. This was simply shocking, and no explanation for this has been given yet. While they were under the assumption that Dr Skinner may have changed his face and identity, they hadn’t expected to find multiple people with Skinner’s face.
In the upcoming episode of Lazarus, we will likely get an explanation for how Eleina found a thousand matches for Dr Skinner. We’ll also see Lazarus’s next steps to finding Dr Skinner. With the world progressively moving into chaos, we can only hope they’ll get a step closer to the truth to save everyone before it’s too late.

Lazarus is an upcoming original anime series that is set to be directed by Shinichiro Watanabe and will be produced by MAPPA. The director of John Wick, Chad Stahelski, is working on the action pieces.

As a response to this threat, a special task force of 5 agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner’s plan. This group is called “Lazarus.” Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?
