The Jump Festa 2020 convention is taking place on December 21st and 22nd in Japan. A new list of panels has gone out, which include one for Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Super’s anime ended on a cliffhanger, and fans have been waiting to know what happens next. The inclusion of a Dragon Ball panel may mean a major announcement coming their way.
Jump Festa is usually where many franchises announce their plans. For example Dragon Ball: Broly was originally announced under the tentative title of Dragon Ball Super – The Movie on 17th December 2017, during Jump Festa.
@DbsHype tweeted out the new listing of Dragon Ball panels and fans commented hoping that the continuation of the series will be announced.

The Tweet may be linked to a tweet by Ryo Horikawa – the voice behind Vegeta, in which he mentions how he is meeting Toei Animation about a future project.
オレは、先程、東映アニメーションにて打ち合わせをしてきた!!内容は、貴様らには教えん!#声優 #東映アニメーション #ドラゴンボール

I had a meeting with Toei Animation just before! ! I don’t tell you the contents! #声優#東映アニメーション#ドラゴンボール
The panel will be held on both days of the convention from 1130 to 1200hrs with the voice behind Goku (Masako Nozawa) and the voice behind Vegeta (Ryo Horikawa) in attendance.
Fans are hoping that the next series for Dragon Ball will be announced, but there is no way to know for sure. It is also possible that this may be a follow-up announcement regarding the new Dragon Ball movie that went into production earlier this year. Regardless of what it is going to be, something big is coming for Dragon Ball Fans.
About Dragon Ball:
The Dragon Ball franchise is set in a multiverse composed of twelve numbered universes. Each one is ruled by benevolent and malevolent deities, respectively called Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction. Almost all of the Dragon Ball series, except for parts of Dragon Ball Super, take place in Universe 7. Years in the timeline are called “Ages”, with most of the story occurring between Age 749 and Age 790.
Universe 7 contains several planets, including a fictionalized Earth where humans reside and Planet Vegeta, the homeworld of the Saiyans – a powerful and destructive race. Many other races also inhabit Universe 7, including Angels, Demons, Androids, Tuffles and Namekians. Humans are among the weakest races in the universe. The protagonist Goku is raised as a human on Earth but finds out that he is a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta.
