Kuroko no Basket’s Fujimaki Writers One-Shot For Weekly Shonen Jump

With a new decade right around the corner, a slew of new content is coming for Shonen Jump readers. The fourth and fifth (combined) issue of the weekly shonen jump revealed on 23rd December that a new one-shot manga is on the way.

Well known mangaka Tadatoshi Fujimaki, famous for his work in Kuroko’s Basketball and Robot X Laserbeam, is creating a new one-shot manga.

The new manga, titled “Kitsune Biyori no Konjiro” (Fox Weather’s Konjiro) will be published in the 6th and 7th (combined) issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump on 4th January 2020. It will contain a centre colour page and a total of 47 total pages.

This however, is the second one shot released by the magazine in a row. A one-shot manga written by Shuichi Aso was also published on Monday in the fourth and fifth issue titled The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

Fujimaki launched Robot X Laserbeam manga in 2017 which ended in June 2018. Kuroko’s Basketball serialized in Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2014. The latter inspired a slew of adaptations including anime films, light novels and a spin-off.

About Kuroko no Basket:

In the world of Kuroko no Basket, there exist five prodigies known as the Generation of Miracles who together crushed every opponent by huge margins in Junior High. Unbeknownst to others, there existed a sixth “phantom” player who played an equally important role with the Generation of Miracles. This player, Kuroko Tetsuya, joins Seirin High School and along with his team, disturbs the record of victories that the Generation of Miracles enjoyed.
