So I’m a Spider, So What? episode 17 titled “What am I doing?” has been released this week.

In episode 17, we saw that Ariel was preparing to attack the Elf Village. Shun and his party learned a lot about the Nightmare of the labyrinth and its vestiges. 

Later, Shun and his party finally found their way out of the labyrinth.

1. Episode 18 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Episode 18, “You Guys Are Kind Of Awful, Huh?” is revealed at the end of episode 17. 

With reference to episode 17, we should presume an attack would be led on the Elf Village by Ariel. We can also expect Ariel to fight Nameless again, and kill it once and for all. 

We can also expect to see Shun and his party defend the Elf Village.

2. Episode 18 Release Date

Episode 18 of the So I’m a Spider, So What? anime, titled “You Guys Are Kind Of Awful, Huh?”, has been released on Friday, May 14, 2021.

No, the anime So I’m a Spider, So What? is not on break this week. Episode 18 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 17

Episode 17, titled “ What am I doing?” starts off with Ariel planning to attack the Elf Village in the Demon Realm.

Meanwhile, Shun and his party are facing various monsters in the labyrinth. Due to Basgath’s advice, they decide to camp out before they catch the Labyrinth disease.

Shun wakes up from his sleep because of a nightmare. Basgath tells him how having nightmares is the sign of the legendary monster Nameless.

Basgath mentions how he encountered Nameless, who is now known as the Nightmare of the Labyrinth. 

Shun and his party continue to traverse through the labyrinth. Finding themselves at a crossroads, they decide to take the short but dangerous route through the Nightmare’s former house.

Unaware of what is about to come their way they continue on their path. They are then attacked by an Earth-Dragon. They coordinate with each other and are able to beat the dragon.

However, they are then confronted by the Nightmare’s Vestiges who are also known as the Nightmare’s offspring. 

Shun lays his and his party’s life on the line and questions the vestiges. Fortunately, the creatures don’t attack them and let them pass.

Shun and his party finally exit the labyrinth by flying through a huge hole on the back of Fei’s dragon form.

The episode ends with Ariel realizing that Nameless is alive and is trying to use her link with ‘Mother’ to attack her mind.

The plot revolves around an average high school girl who is suddenly reborn as a spider in a different world. Being at the bottom of the food chain, this spider has to do her best to survive despite the odds and the monsters in the dungeon.
