It was later acquired by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha in 2015, and they have published 14 compiled volumes under their own PASH! Books imprint since 2015 May. Later a manga adaptation was made with illustrations by artist Sergei which has been serialized online since 2018 on Comic PASH! Website.
The manga has been compiled into three volumes. The English version of the manga and the light novel are handled by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The novel is about a young girl who is transported to a world resembling her favourite video game, wearing a set of super-powered bear pajamas.
About Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
Yuna, a fifteen-year-old young girl, prefers staying at home instead of going to school. She obsessively keeps playing her favorite VRMMO and doesn’t want to do anything else. She is torn by a dilemma when she gets an update.
The update gave a bear outfit that had overpowered abilities and was unbearably cute, but it was also a bit embarrassing to wear in the game.
However, before she could overcome her dilemma, she finds herself transported inside the game ora world just like in the game, facing monsters and using magic. The Bear Suit becomes her best weapon, and she starts using it extensively.
