KonoSuba’s Megumin is one of the characters that pull the story together and keeps it interesting. It’s not a joke when I say the character has a separate fanbase, as Megumin even got a spin-off novel based entirely on her.
Long before Megumin became an explosion-obsessed magician, she was a kid who had nothing to do with destructive magic until she met Wolbach. The Demon King’s general introduced Megumin to Explosion Magic, and the Crimson Magic Clan member hasn’t looked anywhere since.
The entire tale of Megumin’s past until she met Kazuma, covered in a spin-off novel, will receive an anime adaptation in April 2023. Its latest trailer lets us witness Megumin’s history while confirming the debut.
It starts off by showing Megumin’s academy days and how she’s been an explosion freak since. Megumin has always experimented with explosion magic and, being a part of the Crimson Magic Clan, was raised with other chuunibyou personalities.
Moving on, we also see Megumin’s classmates, Wolbach’s other half, Chomusuke and Yunyun. They seem to enjoy their time at the academy, training, making blunders, and having fun together.
