Megumin makes a potion for Funifura in episode 4 of KONOSUBA: Sekai ni Bakuen wo!, titled “The Crimson-Eyed Lonely Master.”

It was an ordinary episode with nothing major happening apart from the climax of the episode. Megumin’s concern for Yunyun has always been pretty sweet, and their dynamic is the episode’s highlight. 

It wasn’t that interesting episode as it felt more like a filler that was setting up a major event that will happen in the next episode.

Megumin and Yunyun will try to deal with the monsters in episode 5 of KONOSUBA: Sekai ni Bakuen wo! Titled “Prelude to an Explosion of Madness.”

I think the next episode will mostly be a buildup which will set up a major battle and will happen in the upcoming episodes. We only see a little bit about what Megumin will do in the next episode so it is hard to predict what major event will occur. 

Her sister might get into trouble, and Yunyun will rescue her. I hope something exciting will happen in the next episode with some magical action.

3. Episode 4 Recap

Yunyun isn’t in the top three in the recent class test. In that other incidents, Megumin thinks something is off about Yunyun. Later, there were rumors about a hero showing up in the village. 

Megumin also dreams about being a member of a top-class hero’s guild and becoming the demon king. Yunyun interrupts her thoughts and tells her she wants to discuss it after school. 

They both sit together. Yunyun asks her what it means to be friends and tells her that Funifura’s little brother is sick and they need money. So, they expect Yunyun to help them.

Yunyun asks Megumin what she should do. Megumin tells her to provide charity, like robbing an apothecary of his medicines to help Funifura. Bukkorori appears there, and they start discussing the rise of Dark God’s minions in the town.

Yunyun provides the money to Funifura. Megumin shows up after Yunyun leaves and tells them that she can solve the problem of medication with the help of her secure medication.

Megumin prepares a potion with the help of various ingredients and a duxion (a duck-like monster) and gives it to Funifura. She takes Yunyun’s money back from Funifura. 

She gives the money back to Yunyun. Yunyun treats her with pancakes. Later, Megumin finds out that Yunyun deliberately didn’t come in the top three on the test so that she could graduate together. 

Megumin gets angry, and they end up fighting. Yunyun wins the fight, and they are about to head home when Dark God’s minions show up around the village.

KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! is a spinoff light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. The series was launched in July 2014 and ended in June 2015. It has also inspired several manga series.

The story follows the character Megumin from the original KonoSuba series who only knows Explosion Magic. She decides to hone her only skill and become the greatest magician.
