Episode 2 of Komi Can’t Communicate was both funny and sweet at the same time (with a little bit of disgusting Yamai).
We saw a lot of beautiful and wholesome moments between Komi and Tadano. Their chemistry calms the soul and is completely refreshing.
However, Yamai is someone who can upset anyone’s mood with her creepy obsession with Komi, some fans have even started to consider dropping the anime only because of her. Apart from her, Komi-san anime is off to a great start.

Episode 3 will also be loads of fun and filled with sweet moments. In the next episode, Katai might try inviting Tadano to have lunch with him.
The next chapter might also have some solo-Komi stories where we will witness some day-to-day Komi activities. They are some of the cutest chapters in the manga and I can’t wait to see them animated.

Episode 2 Recap
Komi gets ready to go to school but a sudden hurricane ruins the plan and the school gets closed. She is happy that it’s a holiday but sad that she can’t meet her friends.
She is enjoying the bad weather (she loves bad weather for some reason), but a sudden lighting and power cut scare her. Her mother tries to comfort her (such a cute moment), but leaves for some work, leaving the scared Komi alone.
Tadano calls her to know if she is okay, but immediately understands that she is somewhat scared. As he is about to keep the call, she insists that he talk more. He tells her that maybe the school will open in the afternoon (and it does open).
Yamai is desperate to look at Komi’s panties (a disgusting creep). She thinks of various ways to do that but finally finds the opportunity in the water collected on fields. She calculates a way to do the same, but every time she fails miserably.
When she goes to try one final time but mud gets on her phone and fails again, she finally gives up on the idea because her soul is purified by looking at Komi’s innocent face.
Three boys Shigeo Chiarai, Mono Shinobino, and Taisei Sonoda sit down to discuss ‘what if’ situations about having one of the girls from their class as their girlfriend.
They imagine having Najimi, Agari, Yamai, Yadano, Nakanaka and Inaka (they missed out Onemine and Kaede) as their girlfriend and each time, they have a different reaction and a sense of satisfaction.
When the time comes for Komi, they are just not able to imagine anything. Tadano starts to imagine having Komi as his boyfriend and experiences second hand embarrassment.
Komi wants to go to a cat cafe. She asks Najimi but she declines immediately. Tadano also declines although he doesn’t have any work in the hope that she invites others by herself. Onemine appears and she readily agrees to go with her. Kaede accompanies them as well.
Onemine and Kaede are warmly welcomed by the cats but the cats are scared of Komi and don’t approach her. She gets sad. The boss cat notices her and decides to go to her to comfort her.
Onemine takes her photo while she is playing with the boss cat and sends it to Tadano. Tadano regrets his decision of not going with them.
Yamai offers Komi to play a love game with her. In the game, if the person who says ‘I love you’ is able to startle the one to whom he/she proposes, then that person wins. Yamai and Najimi try their best to win against Komi but lose every time.
Najimi plays her trump card, Tadano. He is not ready at first but later agrees to do it thinking that it’s a game. He is going to propose to her but loses immediately because he moves his eyes away from Komi.
Komi was relieved that Najimi stopped Tadano but was also hoping that he said it.
