Komi Can’t Communicate Episode 13: Release Date, Speculation

Episode 12 of the Komi Can’t Communicate anime is the latest installment in the series.

This episode was a continuation of the school festival where Komi’s class had opened a maid café. Komi had a lot of fun working in the café as well as roaming around the school with her friends.

We also saw sparks of romance beginning to form between Komi and Tadano, but it seems like both of them are oblivious to their feelings.

Will Komi reach her goal of making 100 friends? Will her feelings for Tadano take their friendship a step further? We’ll find out in season 2 of the anime.

Episode 13 Speculation

Season 1 began with Komi not being able to talk at all and ended with her forming deep bonds of friendship with her classmates. Her closest friends are Najimi and Tadano, who have decided to help achieve her goal of making 100 friends.

Tadano and Komi have gotten incredibly close, and they have even started developing some romantic feelings for each other. In the next season of Komi Can’t Communicate, we’ll see Komi making more friends and slowly developing her social skills.

Episode 12 Recap

 Episode 12 continues with Komi and her classmates running their maid café. The café is doing quite well, and Najimi uses her social skills to attract more customers, filling up the café even more. 

A brilliant idea strikes her, and she decides to include Komi in her adverts. She asks her to walk 100 meters from the classroom to attract as many people as possible. As Komi walks to and from the school, it creates a snowball effect as more and more people are enamored by her beauty.

Getting an increase in their customers, Najimi seizes this opportunity and starts offering maid-related services like playing games, taking pictures, etc., to make more money. She takes it a little too far, and the teachers finally intervene to make her stop.

After getting some free time from their café, Komi, Tadano, and Najimi walk around the school, looking at stalls set up by the other classes. They visit a haunted house that scares Komi but doesn’t affect Najimi or Tadano.

After completing the haunted house tour, they come across students yelling minor confessions from the rooftop. Yamai confesses to Komi and asks her to marry her. This embarrasses Komi as everyone turns their gaze towards her.

Najimi then pushes Komi to yell a confession as well, asking her to advertise their maid café. Komi is extremely nervous and manages to say “meow.”

This makes the students believe that Komi is asking them to visit her maid café, where she will be dressed as a cat maid. Najimi is once again punished for using Komi as an advertisement.

After parting ways with Najimi, Onemine and Kaede invite Komi and Tadano to enjoy the festival with them. The four of them have a lot of fun exploring all sorts of things.

Finally, it’s time for the announcement of the best class. Initially, the winner is announced as Komi’s class, but they’re soon disqualified because of Najimi’s corrupt money-making methods. Komi expresses how it’s okay not to win since they all had fun anyway.

The class then heads to karaoke for an afterparty. Everyone chooses a song and patiently waits for Komi’s turn to sing. When it’s finally her turn, Komi gets very anxious and cannot sing, but Yadano and the other somehow imagine her singing and feel satisfied merely from that imagination.

Komi is extremely embarrassed, but the others don’t seem to mind. It’s then Tadano’s turn, but as soon as he starts singing, he notices that no one is paying attention to him and feels discouraged.

He then looks at Komi and realizes that she has been watching him sing the whole time, which motivates him to complete his turn.

Najimi pulls in Komi and Tadano for a group song as the episode ends.
