The upcoming Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui anime shows a hasty protagonist who does not hold back on showing his feelings.
Ryo is a bachelor who proposes to a high school girl, Ichika, on their first meeting. However, the anime’s title expresses Ichika’s reaction, “It’s Disgusting to Call This Love.” Ryo is adamant and knows that he has found the one in his life.
The anime It’s Disgusting to Call This Love series is set for an April 2021 premiere. A second promotional video has been released for the anime. It previews both the opening and ending themes.
The opening theme of the anime is Monochrome City (Monokuro City) by Ace Collection. MaRuRi to Ryuga performs the ending music, “Rinaria.”
The promotional video shows the first meeting of Ryo and Ichika. Ryo is quick to fall in love, but that does not mean that his feelings are just skin-deep.
However, Ryo’s ways of courting are unconventional, and he asks for a kiss from Ichika on the first day they meet. The girl is taken aback as she thinks it is disgusting, but Ryo doesn’t know when to give up.
Tatsuya, the Ace Collection band’s singer, has commented that the opening theme has a fluffy melody that expresses the collision of thoughts in love.
MaRuRi to Ryuga, the duo, have also commented on the ending theme. “Rinaria” is the name of a flower. In the language of flowers, the blossom means “notice this love.”
Because of the song, the discomfort of Ichika in calling Ryo’s feeling love is expressed even more.
Tokyo MX, Hokkaido Bunka Hōsō, Miyazaki Broadcasting, and BS Fuji channels will be broadcasting the anime. Amazon Prime Video will also have exclusive streaming rights in Japan.
