It has been about half a year since the VTuber Kizuna Ai announced an anime series based on her. The wait is finally over for fans as Isaribi, an entertainment planning company, has not only revealed more details regarding the anime project but also shared the first look on Friday.
According to Isaribi, the upcoming Kizuna Ai anime is called “Kizuna no Allele” and is slated for a 2023 release. A teaser site for the anime series was launched, with the first key visual of “Kizuna no Allele” and an official Twitter account.
Apart from that, Isaribi also shared a screenshot from the anime.
The key visual you see above is drawn by none other than En Morikawa, the original designer for Kizuna Ai.
Kizuna Ai began her YouTube channel ‘A.I.Channel’ in 2016, which currently has more than three million subscribers. Her second channel ‘A.I.Games’ also has a huge following, with about 1.5 million subscribers.
Being one of the earliest incarnations among VTubers, Kizuna Ai has ventured into a lot of unimaginable projects like television commercials and programs. She has also released her original music videos, featuring as an artist. She also voiced Website Manager Hachi in the Magical Girl Site series.
She is also a brand ambassador for Japan National Tourism Organization’s ‘Come to Japan’ campaign.
Kizuna Ai originally announced the anime series during her ‘Hello World 2022’ live performance in February. Since then, she is on a hiatus which was announced months before the event, in December 2021.
With so many achievements in hand, getting an anime series of her own seems to be just another one that would immortalize her. It is still difficult to figure out how the animation style would be from a screenshot, but a teaser in the future would certainly answer that.

Kizuna no Allele is an upcoming anime series that would feature Kizuna Ai, one of the first virtual YouTubers to come into existence. Kizuna Ai began her YouTube journey in 2016 and has been a part of multiple projects, including original music videos, collaborations, being a brand ambassador for Japan Tourism, and many more.
Kizuna no Allele will release in 2023 as disclosed by Isaribi.
