Even after Game of Thrones wrapped up the series with season 8, the GoT fandom had many spinoffs to look forward to, telling them stories of the past and future of Westeros. The GoT prequel House of the Dragon did exceptionally well on the charts, and now we have an exciting update about the last Targaryen standing after.
Kit Harrington has been heavily involved in developing his GoT character’s spinoff, Snow, which is just one of the several planned spinoffs in George R. R. Martin’s world. Jon Snow’s spinoff will pick up the titular character’s life after his banishment to the Wall and other events of season 8 of the famous HBO series.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Harrington detailed how Snow has a lot of history to deal with and the trauma of having Ygirette die in his arms and killing Olly and Daenerys. And that’s precisely what he’ll have to deal with in the upcoming spinoff, as Harrington explained in the quote below:
He has to go back to the place with all this history and live out his life thinking about how he killed Dany. He has to live out his life thinking about Ygritte dying in his arms and about how he hung Olly and living out his life thinking about all this trauma. So I guess where we leave him at the end of the show, I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are okay. He’s not okay.

Harrington’s update about Snow seems just right since the character had no time to deal with the emotional toll of losing the people he loved, especially when he was responsible for their deaths.
The spinoff will explore his emotional range to the fullest about his losses. Harrington’s update also gives the viewers hope to get something new from the spinoff while addressing the mess the last season was.
Not many details are available for the spinoff apart from the fact that Martin and Harrington are working hand in hand for creating the next chapter in Jon Snow’s story. Hopefully, as the process progresses, audiences will get more frequent updates about Snow.
