Kirby is an action-themed video game series created by Masahiro Sakurai and Satoru Iwata.
HAL Laboratory developed the gaming series, and Nintendo was in charge of publishing the series.
The original game of the franchise centers around a young hero – a pink alien named Kirby as he fights for his home’s safety, Planet Popstar, from numerous threats.
The series was made for everyone and not just gamers as it is easy to play even for those who are new to action games, while also putting forth additional challenges and concepts for more seasoned players to come back to.
With over 30 games and sales of over 38 million units worldwide, the Kirby series is one of the top 50 best-selling video game franchises of all time.
Nintendo’s official website has added the “Kirby Fighters 2” game as a downloadable title for its Switch system though it hadn’t confirmed the same at an earlier date.
The listing does not provide a release date for the battle-action game but has been priced at US$19.99.
The game allows users to choose from Kirby’s most classic copy abilities, including the brand-new Wrestler ability and the fight to the end with the last Kirby standing.
Characters like King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee also make a comeback as playable characters in the new Kirby Fighters 2 game, available only for Nintendo’s Switch.

Additionally, The Kirby Fighters Deluxe game has an improved and expanded version available to gamers on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
