It’s not unusual for an anime to be adapted from mobile games. There have been several popular shows which did the same; Monster Strike, Idolish7, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, etc.
They all turned out pretty good and also appealed to the masses. Now ‘King’s Raid’ is being adapted into an anime series too.
1. Announcement & Title
Vespa Inc., the creator of the hit mobile game, [which by the way has topped 13 million downloads worldwide], announced that they were working on an anime series based on the game.
The ultra-real-time real-time 3D battle RPG “King’s Raid”, which has exceeded 13 million downloads worldwide, is finally animated in the fall of 2020! Today we have started the teaser site and official Twitter.
English Translation, Twitter Translate
It will be titled ‘King’s Raid: Successors of the Will’ — the fans were overjoyed with the news. To add the cherry on the top, the release date isn’t far away.
2. Release Date & No. of Episodes
King’s Raid anime, the show based on the real-time 3D role-playing game has been confirmed to premiere on the TV screens on October 3, 2020 and will run for a course of 26 episodes.
3. Theory Section
In this section, I will talk about various aspects of the show, which will include — which studio is adapting it, what can we expect from it, about the creators of the game and such. Basically, every technicality which might affect the production of the anime.
I. About the Studio
The studio responsible for animating the famous mobile game is ‘Sunrise Beyond,’ and studio ‘OLM.’
‘Sunrise Beyond’ has been involved in animating several in-between animations of the likes of Haikyuu S4, Demon Slayer, Dr. Stone, Konosuba, MHA S4, etc.
‘OLM’ is known for its Pokemon series. They both have great credentials. So I guess it is pretty safe to say that one can expect some quality animation.
II. What to Expect?
If we see into the past and knock doors of the houses which had adapted anime based on mobile games, the results were quite fruitful.
This one could yield the same. With a decent storyline and RPG elements in it, it will tend to have a good impression on otakus. For people who adore isekai and action-packed anime, this one is for you peeps.
III. About Vespa Inc.
The game was released in September 2016 by Vespa Inc., and since then, it has a humongous fan base of 13 million players. It is indeed one of the most popular mobile anime games out there.
It is their only game and has quickly escalated to the upper echelons of role-playing games. The game is available both on Play Store and App Store.
4. Production Update
The announcement of King’s Raid adapting into an anime series took the world by surprise. The show will feature an original story with the in-game characters.
It is also safe to assume that the production is almost complete if it is going to be released in Fall 2020. However, Covid-19 can be a hindrance, a thought which must be kept in mind.
5. Key Visual
The key visual for the anime:
A brand-new antagonist can be seen behind Kasel and the other character.
A teaser has been announced by King’s Raid official channel :
The animation looks enticing, no doubt there. We are shown a short fight sequence with the four main characters of the show supposedly, two of them are sword fighters, and the other two seem to be magic casters.
As we progress towards the end of the video, a villain appears engulfed in flames, and if I’m not wrong, it is the final boss.
Furthermore, many of the fans are looking for ‘Dreamcatcher’ as the OP for the show.

The cast and staff for the show are:
