Kingdom Season 5 Episode 8: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Kanki frustrates Kei Sha, forcing the latter to make a move in episode 7 of Kingdom season 5, titled “The Tragedy of Rigan.” 

It was an amazing strategy used by Kanki. He played with Kei Sha’s mind by not using the opportunity he had in his hand and wasting time. This pushed Kei Sha to his edge, and he attacked the Hei Shin unit. 

Before Kanki’s mind game, Kyou Kai learned the full backstory of Ki Sui and why he was not popular outside the region. His backstory was tragic and somewhat made the Qin army look like the bad people.

Episode 8 of Kingdom season 5 will be released on Saturday, March 2, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and each new episode is released every Saturday. You can watch Kingdom on Crunchyroll.

2. Episode 8 Speculations

Kanki will exploit the opportunity given to him by Kei Sha in episode 8 of Kingdom season 5, titled “In an Instant.” 

Now is the time for Kanki to make his move. He has been lying quite all this while just to see what Kei Sha will do. His anticipations were correct, and Kei Sha couldn’t keep patience long. 

Despite the Hi Shin force being surrounded from all sides; this has given the Kanki army a chance to win. Zenou will launch an attack on the Ki Sui unit before him, while Kanki will send reinforcements to help Shin.

With this, we are slowly nearing the moment when Kei Sha and Shin will clash swords. Being considered a serious threat by Riboku has motivated Shin to fight even harder, and he will soon demonstrate his true strength to Kei Sha and his army. 

3. Episode 7 Recap

Kon starts telling Kyou Kai the story of the tragedy that changed Ki Sui’s life. Ki Shou, the lord of Rigan, led a war against Tou Kan, the lord of Zhao city of Anka. 

Tou Kan wanted to capture Rigan, but Ki Shou put up a strong resistance against him with the help of Ba Tein, Ryuu Toum, and his son, Ki Sui. Ki Sui ultimately slew Tou Kan as the war went on. 

Rigan won the battle, but Tou Kan’s son Tou Kin launched a sneak attack when Ki Sui and Ki Shou were away. His attack was successful, and he kept every woman, children, Ba Tei, and Ryuu Tou as his hostages. 

In return for freeing the hostages, Tou Kin demands Ki Shou’s surrender. Ki Sui is against the idea, but Ki Shou makes a firm decision to surrender himself along with the prominent adults of Rigan to free his people. 

He is burned alive in front of everyone. All the major figures of Rigan die that day, leaving Ki Sui as the city’s lord. The backstory ends, and Kyou Kai finally learns why she has never heard of Ki Sui. 

Kon tells her to stay put as fighting against Ki Sui is futile, but she refuses. The third night of the battle passes by, and the fourth and fiercest day of the Koku You Hill battle arrives. 

Shin is infuriated to hear that Kanki has told his army to be on standby on the fourth day as well. Kanki has also sent a message stating that he will send reinforcements. 

Ka Ryo Ten tells Kanki’s messengers to send reinforcements as fast as possible because they will be able to hold their position only till noon. Ba Tei attacks some parts of the Hi Shin unit. 

Other than that, the situation is similar to the third day. Kei Sha gets agitated and launches an attack on the Hi Shin force. He notices Shin and tells his army to cut off his head, as Riboku had called him a major threat. 

Seeing Kei Sha move, Ryuu Tou also decides to assist him and sends his force to attack from the rear sides. Despite Kei Sha’s clear advantage against the Hi Shin force, Ki Sui feels something is wrong. 

He is not alone in his thoughts; Kin Mou also has the same thoughts. He feels chilling, thinking Kanki is smiling, seeing Kei Sha’s impatience. Kanki makes fun of Kei Sha for not living up to his title of being “The Silent Killer.”

Suddenly, Zenou appears beside Koku’Ou, ready to launch an attack.
