In Episode 11 of the Kingdom anime, Kan Ki and Zhang Tang, along with their troops, approached Cheng Hui’s post by breaking through Zhao soldiers.
Finally, they managed to reach their destination. Just when Cheng Hui took Zhang Tang’s powers lightly, Zhang Tang attacked him from behind and successfully killed him.
Before dying, Zhang Tang made Kan Ki promise him to become the strongest general in Qin. Kan Ki reached his army post and found the three-storey watchtower burning in flames. Li Mu also got the news of general Cheng Hui’s death.

1. Episode 12 Preview & Speculation
Li Mu is definitely not going to sit around and watch his generals die. He might as well send one of his generals to destroy the other posts like his soldiers did with Kan Ki’s post.
I’m hoping it’s Wa Lin, as she is one of the strongest in their army right now.
In the next episode, Hangu pass might fall down as the defenses are all gone. However, the trade-off might be worth it in the long run.
I can definitely see Kan Ki emerging out as the strongest and most cunning general of the Qin in the near future. However, there is no reason to believe this theory yet, except for the promise Kan Ki made to Zhang Tao.
2. Episode 12 Release Date
Episode 12 of the Kingdom (2021) anime, titled “The Wa Lin Army’s Charge”, has been released on Monday, Jun 21, 2021.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 11 Recap
As the Zhao troops look at the burning Seige tower, Kan Ki and his army arrive and encircle them from the other side. They started attacking the Zhao soldier as soon as they arrive.
Koku’ou commands the soldiers to take their flags and continue to their path. As Kan Ki moves, Zhang Tang also follows him with his soldiers.
After covering some distance, they stop as Qin soldiers continuously shoot arrows towards the Zhaos. Kan Ki shouts to use the shields and carve their path through the Zhao soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Wei and Han main camps are focused on the top of the Hangu pass.
On the other hand, Cheng Hui’s army fires poisoned arrows at Qins. Suddenly, Cheng Hui gets a report that a Wei unit is coming towards them.
As Kan Ki moves forward with his 400 troops, Zhang Tang commands to split the unit into three. On seeing them, Cheng Hui commands to kill them with no mercy.
Meng Ao realizes that Zhang Tang will die on the battlefield today as an effect of the poison. He announces that he will move to the center and take command.
Meanwhile, Zhang Tang tells his soldiers that from there on, he will move forward with only 30-40 cavalry, as he is going to die anyways.
They break through the enemy’s army again to reach their main camp but stop in the way as Zhang Tang’s condition worsens.
Meanwhile, Cheng Hui is stunned to see their camp circled from both flanks by enemies. Zhang Tang soon catches up to them, despite being injured by the poisoned arrow again.
Just when Cheng Hui wonders why the poison hasn’t killed Zhang Tang yet, Zhang Tang kills commanding genral Cheng Hui by attacking him from behind and dies soon after that.. Before dying, he makes Kan Ki promise him that he will become the best general in Qin.
On reaching, Kan Ki finds his army post on the right of Hangu pass has been heavily invaded and the three-storey watchtower is burning in flames. At the Zhao HQ, on the other hand, Li Mu gets the message of Cheng Hui’s death.
