Back at Kanyou, Lord Mikai receives a message that makes him fall to the ground. News reaches the nobles that Kanki has killed his captured prisoners.
The Kanyou court is astonished, and Emperor Ei Sei asks how many Kanki has killed. The messenger hesitates to say, but as Ei Sei grows impatient, the messenger informs them that 100,000 prisoners were killed.
Ei Sei sits down to process this shocking news. Ri Shi points out how this move of Kanki’s has landed them in a much greater predicament. Now that this massacre has become known, forces from all over China will send their warriors to the gates of Qin.
As Ri Shi recounts how Kanki should never have become one of the six greats, other nobles tell him this isn’t the time to be talking about this. He hits them with an “I told you so.” Ei Sei orders for soldiers to be sent to Kanki.
At Heiyou’s outskirts, Kyou Rei is seen puking and asks why their captain’s place is so noisy. She is informed they’re discussing how Kanki massacred his war prisoners.
Shin is determined to go and kill Kanki, but Ten convinces him otherwise. She asks Shin to follow General Kanki’s orders because there might be an all-out war. Ten says he will pay for his crimes, but the one who will make him pay is not Shin, but the emperor.
News reaches Maron that an army is headed their way from the southwest. Maron tells the messenger that it’s not enemies but probably reinforcements. The messenger tells him that the army does not belong to the enemy but is headed by the emperor.
