1. Chapter 678 Discussions and Predictions
Amidst the rising battlefield tension, Riboku knew what’s up. He knew that Kanki is thinking a couple of steps ahead Zhao. So, he was not in a celebration mood yet.
It was quite amusing to see that Kanki sent the same messenger Shin wanted to bury in Kokuyou.
On the other hand, I still can’t figure out what’s going on inside Kanki’s head. We may get to see Kanki picking up his sword again to kill Kochou.

Gyoku Hou Army fights against the Ko Chou Army. Ou Hon easily escapes the arrow thrown towards him, but his horse is killed, while, Ban Yu screams in terror. Later, Kaku Kai and Ri Boku and Kaine, and Fu Tei receive the news about the battle.
There’s a meeting at Hi Shin Army’s camp as it’s been eight days since the battle started, with no signs of improvement. Meanwhile, Ou Sen, A Kou, Den Ri Mi, and Sou Ou discuss what Kan Ki could plan.
Mou Ten visits them and asks to deploy the Hi Shin, but Ou Sen rejects his proposal and explains that it was Kan Ki’s request to keep them in the middle.
Back at the Hi Shin Army’s camp, Ka Ryo Ten receives a message from Kan Ki’s messenger that all troops must join the battle. Shin asks about the situation, to which the messenger replies that it’s not good. Shin’s Army heads towards the battlefield.
Ou Sen’s headquarters receives the news about the deployment. Sou Ou wonders why Kan Ki didn’t use them earlier. Den Ri Mi answers that it’s foolish to think that 15,000 will make a difference in a battle.
But Mou Ten is confident that the Hi Shin’s strength could make Kan Ki’s forces to regroup. Ou Sen then asks Mou Ten about Kan Ki’s planning to which he replies that he believes that Kan Ki’s goal is Ko Chou’s head.
A messenger arrives and tells them that the left-wing of the Kan Ki Army is killed along with the Gyoku Hou. This worries Mou Ten while the Ou Sen upper echelon was already aware of this. Mou Ten starts yelling at the great General to worry about his son but leaves soon.
He still expects Ou Hon to be alive and wishes Shin good luck and asks him to save Ou Hon. The chapter ends with Shin and Ou arriving at the battlefield.
