This fight between Kyou Kai and Kyou Rei has brought out the similarities between the sisters. Just as Kai was twisted by the death of her sister at the beginning of the manga, Rei has ended up in the same place as her. Shin rescued Kai from that darkness, and now she is extending that hand to someone dear to her.
With how the fight is progressing, Kai is most likely to force Rei so deep into the trance that they will visit the afterlife. This could be a great way for Rei to get closure and face Shiki yet again.

5. Chapter 668 Recap
Kyou Kai and Kyou Rei, both decide to settle this fight using their ultimate technique, Spirit Dance. As they both fight faster than his eyes could follow, Ten gasps his breath at their every move.
Finally, Rei manages to land a blow using Mist Technique. She acclaims Shiki was better at this technique than her, and if it were her Kai was facing right now, Kai would’ve been dead by now.
Kyou Kai acknowledges Shiki’s strength but states that it is not the full extent of her power. If Rei wishes to defeat her, she will have to sink to a much darker place.
As the battle progresses, Kai takes a defensive stance and tries to make Rei spit out the truth about the ritual. Thinking back about the ritual and Shiki, brings out the old Rei, as she calls Kyou Kai “Kai-nee.”
Rei slowly reveals that she killed Shiki, and even though Shiki was much smarter and stronger than her, Shiki voluntarily lost the ritual. She cleared up the path for Rei, and when the time came, Shiki made Rei kill her and lead her to victory.
