5. Kingdom Chapter 664 Recap

Kyou Kai wakes up from her deep meditation sensing a distinct presence, only to find Kyou Rei, her younger sister, outside her tent. Startled by seeing her, Kyou Kai asks her why she left the village and why was she here?

Kyou Rei answers in a roundabout way stating the general ritual of the village. It’s a rule that you have to kill someone you love to leave the Shiyuu Tribe; however, some people have broken the rule.

Shin and Karyoten arrive at the scene, and Kyou Rei declares that she will be joining the Hi Shin Unit from today. She also threatens that if they refuse to accept her, she will join the enemy and Hi Shin Unit’s troops instead.

After discussing the matter with Shin and Karyoten, Kyou Kai places the unexpected visitor in the

custody of her unit. Kyou Rei is under the trial period to see how well she’ll work with the men.

However, in the battle, she abandons her position and heads towards Ryuuyuu’s squad as there are more enemies there. Due to her not following the strategy, Suugen in the middle and Hairou on the left fell behind. It turned the ambush into a precarious battle in which the Hairou squad suffered a great loss.

But Ryuuyuu squad, who ruined the plan, dominates the battle due to Kyou Rei madly beheading enemy soldiers. After winning their battle, the Ryuuyuu squad move on to aid the Suugen squad in taking control of their side. With the help of Kyou Rei, Infantry was able to secure its first victory after so many defeats.

The next day, the Infantry fights in the forest once more. Zhao brought twice the number of soldiers they had previously. As Suugen charge towards the enemy, he finds Rei in his way. Kyou Rei then does her bloodbath dance killing off many of the enemy men in a single blow.
