The upcoming chapter may reveal more information about the Juuko army and its place in the war of the three states. The Juuko army is quite strong but its men seem to take too much pride in their abilities and this just might be the cause for their downfall.
When Ka Rin sees the invasion approaching, she immediately calls for backup and this shows obvious distrust between the armies of Chu and Juuko. In the next chapter, we may learn that the Juuko army is Chu’s mere pawn in this great war.
2. Chapter 655 Release Date
Chapter 655 of the Kingdom manga has been released on Thursday, Oct 01, 2020. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.
In the next chapter, it will be revealed that the Chu army is simply using the Juuko army as a means to an end in this war. We may also see the death of a Chu commander as Wei’s vengeance for General Gen’U causing General Bakai’s death!

4. Recap of Chapter 654
I. Qin and Wei
The Chu Generals Gen’U and Haku Rei are put in a difficult position as they deal with the Great General of Wei Gou Hou Mei’s pincer attack. General Gen’U learns that his army’s 4th line is being attacked and he then orders the 2nd line to back them up. Haku Rei also joins in to support Gen’U’s army by ordering his men to fire arrows and flanking the left side.
Meanwhile, in the Qin army, Mou Ki was trying to figure out what Gou Hou Mei’s battle strategy. Mou Ki was taken aback by the Wei army’s performance when they fought against Chu. To Mou Ki, it seemed like the Qin army was not doing as much to assist in the war when compared to the Wei army.
As a result of Mou Bu’s pure offensive tactics and Tou’s strategic command, Qin was able to push past the Chu army and because of these two Great Generals of Qin, The Qin army managed to keep up with Wei and continued to enforce the pincer attack.
II. Juuko’s Monsters
Juuko’s army led by Man’U isn’t exactly a part of the Chu army but rather had become a part of it when their lives were spared after they lost to the great warrior Kanmei. The Wei & Qin alliance was now up against the Juuko army. The 2nd line of the Juuko army consisted of elite forces that were highly capable of combating the pincer attack of the two-state alliance.
Elites of the Chu army- Ginju and Kouhou defeated the allied forces and towards the end of the chapter, we finally understand why the latest chapter is called “Juuko’s Monsters”. This is because their army is full of powerful beasts and this is proven as General Gen’U cuts down General Bakai.
