Ancient China and its culture is still one of the most exciting topics to discuss.
Thanks to the anime Kingdom, we otakus are getting the taste of an enriched story full of war politics, taking us through blood-soaked pages of China’s history.
Kingdom has been off-air for a while now, and we were wondering if the show had forgotten its promise to deliver season three.
You need not worry anymore, despite the new Japanese government’s state of emergency declaration, the anime is set to return in April 2021.
There are much more surprises coming with the release of Episode 5, and the official website has already revealed two new cast members for Futei and Kaioku.
Ken Kaneki’s cold voice might just perfectly fit the armored warrior, Futei. The cast and staff details include-
Characters | Cast | Other Works |
Ei Sei (Yin Zheng) | Jun Fukuyama | Koro-sensei (Assassination Classroom) |
Shin (Xin) | Masakazu Morita | Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) |
Karyō Ten (He Liao Diao) | Rie Kugimiya | Haumea (Fire force) |
Futei | Natsuki Hanae | Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul) |
Kaioku | Kenichirō Matsuda | Hyogo (Dororo) |
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Director | Kenichi Imaizumi | After School Dice Club |
Series Composition | Noboru Takagi | Durarara!! |
Character Design | Hisashi Abe | Berserk |
Just like how Naruto dreamt of becoming the Hokage, here the protagonist, Li Xin, shares a similar ambitious dream of becoming a Great General of the Heavens.
Episode 5 will continue with the Alliance Arc. In the last episode, we saw the continuing war between Fei Xin forces and Qin. Xin planned on leading the troops into the rear and charged into 10000 soldiers.
Hopefully, the new episodes will show the soldiers being able to breach the walls of the impenetrable Hangu Pass and start Qin’s Downfall.
We know that the Kingdom anime follows a unique style of animation, and it’s a good thing that the production team is taking ample time to provide the best experience to the viewers.
Portraying a full-fetched war is probably one of the most formidable challenges that any anime studio can face. So, it’s better not to rush things in this pandemic situation.
We know how the anime had always been underrated and remained overshadowed by other shonen anime with sci-fi and fantasy elements.
However, I firmly believe that the remaining episodes of Season 3 will draw more people to the anime, because an anime that revolves around reality is always worth watching for a change.
