It feels no less than a dream to connect with someone you admire despite the voices telling you how ‘out of your league’ that person is. What’s more intriguing about it is that both people get to know each other beyond the top layer of attraction.
Keiken Zumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai Suru Hanashi (You Were Experienced, I Wasn’t, And This is How We Started Dating) is one such romantic story where a popular girl begins to date a shy and introverted boy.
On Friday, the production staff for the anime series revealed more details about the anime. They released the first trailer and announced more staff members and cast. Furthermore, they announced that the anime will premiere sometime in 2023.
In the video, Ryūto is shown wondering if he should keep his feelings for Runa to himself. Knowing how different they are, he cannot bring himself to confess. However, in the next scene, he does; and Runa reciprocates his feelings positively, asking him to date.

Apart from the above, a few more staff members were revealed. Kei Haneoka is composing the music for the series with Pony Canyon as the studio for music production. Takeshi Takadera will act as the sound director.
Studio ENGI will produce the anime with Hideaki Oba as the director. Hiroko Fukuda is handling the scripts. Yōsuke Itō will design the characters based on Magako’s original designs from the light novels.
The cast and staff are impressive and promising. If done right, this may turn out to be one of the best romance anime. The premise isn’t something new, but it all comes down to what and how they emphasize the important element i.e., bonding amidst stark differences.

Ryūto Kashima is a gloomy high-school boy who does not have many friends. As a punishment for losing a game, he is forced to confess to Runa Shirakawa, a beautiful and popular girl. Runa, being single at the time, asks him to date.
Despite having entirely different social circles and preferences, both accept each other as they are and continue to bond.
