Kimi no Na Wa or Your name is one of the most successful anime theatrical films in Japan.
The release schedule for animated films in Japan got delayed due to the COVID pandemic, and films like A Whisker Away decided to release online.
But now that restrictions in the country are being relaxed, films are announcing a return to the theatres.
TOHO’s upcoming original film titled “Kimi wa Kanata” or You Are Beyond announced that it would premiere in Japanese theatres on November 27, 2020.
The film’s debut was accompanied by a new poster featuring its protagonist and its tagline ” Why can’t I remember…”

A 30-second teaser trailer was also revealed on the official site for Kimi wa Kanata. The video is set in the Ikebukuro district and shows glimpses of Shin and Mio, the film’s protagonists.
Yoshinobu Sena will be directing the film, writing the screenplay, and has been credited with the original concept for the film.
Honoka Matsumoto will be voicing Mio, and Toshiki Seto will be voicing Shin. The rest of the cast and staff working on the film have not yet been revealed.
About Kimi wa Kanata
Kimi wa Kanata, better known as You Are Beyond, is an adolescent fantasy film by Yoshinobu Sena set in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo.
It centers around two childhood friends Mio ( played by Honoka Matsumoto) and Shin ( Voiced by Toshiki Seto). Mio, who has feelings for Shin, has an argument with him over something trivial but decides to make up with him.
On her way to Shin’s house, Mio gets into an accident and wakes up in an unfamiliar world.
