In the seventh episode of Insomniacs after School, Ganta and Isaki enjoy a romantic picnic at the school terrace, where Ganta almost admits his feelings.

3. Episode 7 Recap
Ganta, Isaki, Anamizu, Kanikawa, and Momo pass out flyers for the meteor shower event at the festival. Isaki wears a yukata, which Ganta admires. The two then climb up to a point to watch the fireworks.
When Ganta admits he felt nervous about the festival initially, Isaki says that he feels better because he has a cute girl in a yukata next to him. Ganta agrees, causing them both to get flustered. Right when Ganta begins to talk about his feelings, their friends arrive and interrupt them.
All of them then enjoy the festival together. Ganta and Isaki head to the astronomy lab to capture a photo of the fireworks. Isaki almost falls, but Ganta holds on to her and saves her. Isaki then shockingly admits that her heart is weak, and the fear of it stopping keeps her awake at night.
Ganta tells Isaki he will be there for her anytime she needs him, causing her to cry and hug him for comfort. He sets up a radio broadcast just for the two of them, and the two spend the whole night awake in their rooms, listening to each other’s voices.

Insomniacs After School (Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia) is a manga series by Makoto Ojiro. It started serialization in the Big Comic Spirits magazine in May 2019 and has been collected into 11 volumes as of January 2023.
The manga focuses on two school students, Ganta and Isaki. Both of them have insomnia, and Ganta walks in on Isaki’s secret spot in school, an abandoned observatory.
The two become quick friends and start being with each other often as they find solace in the other person.
