5. Episode 9 Recap
Ukegawa helps Ganta earn a job interview for a training camp. Ganta does badly at it, but Ukegawa encourages him to continue searching for one. Ganta visits Shiromaru at Betty, her arcade, but she is asleep from being worn out in the storage room.
While Shiromaru is out to meet someone, Ganta cleans up the arcade for her and manages it for her. This gives Shiromaru an idea for hiring Ganta to work for her at Betty. Ganta discusses a plan with Shiromaru to visit the Makami Site to take the perfect picture.
Meanwhile, Isaki and the girls head out to the beach, where they meet Takada, who works there. Isaki and the girls get hit on by a bunch of boys. Isaki wears a shirt over her swimsuit to hide her surgery scars. Isaki’s sister comes to visit but dominates Isaki.
Isaki meets Ganta, who is worried about the funding for the training camp at Miwaki Site. Isaki suggests they can stay at their home nearby, causing them to celebrate since they could now save money. Insomniacs After School (Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia) is a manga series by Makoto Ojiro. It started serialization in the Big Comic Spirits magazine in May 2019 and has been collected into 11 volumes as of January 2023.
