To all the Isekai lovers out there, Kazuki Kaburagi’s Magic Maker: Isekai Maho no Tsukurikata(How to Create Magic in Another World) has been announced to get an anime adaptation. The announcement was followed by a teaser visual, trailer, and cast reveal.
Following the manga adaptation of the light novel, Magic Maker: Isekai Maho no Tsukurikata will be getting an anime adaptation in 2025. Here’s more information on it.
Anime Announcement
Kadokawa announced the TV anime adaptation of Magic Maker: Isekai Maho no Tsukurikata (How to Create Magic in Another World) Light novel series on the 10th of July. The anime is revealed to have its premiere in 2025. The teaser visual, trailer, main cast, and staff were also revealed along with the announcement.
Trailer is out!
The trailer for the anime adaptation was released on Kadokawa anime YouTube channel. It introduces the major characters and the picturesque landscape of the new universe. Marie can be seen training a sword, and Shion encountering the magic he longed for. Their encounter with magic and other major visuals are also shown.

What is the Story About
The story follows a man who dies in the modern world, longing for magic. He is reincarnated to another world as Shion, which blooms hope in him that at least the new world might have magic. But he gets depressed after his father confirms they have never heard of “magic”.
Shion is a shy bookworm who loves getting lost in the world of words, whereas his sister Marie is a lively girl who loves swordsmanship and constantly trains for it.
Shions life alters when he suddenly encounters a close-to-magic phenomenon in the lake with his sister. This blooms back the hope he had, and he gets motivated to research about magic in this new world. This is the journey of his search and discovery of magic.
The manga adaptation was launched by Tomozo Nishioka on the Manga Doa app in June 2021. The manga’s first compiled book volume was published by Mag Garden in December 2021, and the third volume in February 2023.
About Magic Maker: How to Create Magic in Another World
Magic Maker: How to Create Magic in Another World is a light novel series by Kazuki Kaburagi. The light novel series was launched by Kaburagi on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2017 and is ongoing. The first volume was published by Kadokawa in May 2020, and the second volume in December 2020.
It narrates the story of a man who dies longing for magic in the modern world. He was later born as Shion in another world. He searches for magic but gets disappointed when he can’t find it. This is changed when he finds something similar to magic in a lake. This incident inspires him to research magic.
