Karl Urban Flies from New Zealand to Canada to Film ‘The Boys’ Season 3

Karl Urban is currently headed to Canada from New Zealand to accelerate the production of the latest season of The Boys.

The first season of the franchise premiered on Amazon Prime in 2019 and is based on the comics written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The show’s first season didn’t receive favorable feedback, but it quickly covered up for the losses in its second season and became Amazon Prime’s most-watched show.

Urban seems all set to return as Billy Butcher,  joined by Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, and Antony Starr.

Recently, while posting a picture on his Instagram, the actor captioned the picture saying the only reason he would leave the safety of New Zealand is for The Boys season 3.

Urban will most likely be quarantined in line with Canada’s COVID protocols before the shoot can begin.

1. What’s in store?

Eric Kripke, the creator of the series, has already begun giving out hints on what’s in store for the third season. One of the most controversial storylines in the comic book, “Herogasm,” is likely to be adopted in the coming season.

In the previous season i.e. The Boys season 2, Stormfront had been dispatched.

After Billy Butcher’s wife’s tragic death, it seems Karl Urban’s character may start the season feeling derailed from his goal. Working with Congresswoman Neuman, Hughie is also off on his own and doesn’t have a clue that she is the one behind many of the murders in the second season.

The Boys‘ biggest threat is still Homelander. The last season showed Homelander destroy just about everything he considered precious to him The latest season will likely raise the bar higher than ever before, and, with nothing to lose, Homelander will be back to seek revenge with Billy Butcher and the rest of the gang to once again trying to stop him.

The Boys is an American satirical superhero streaming television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was originally published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint before moving to Dynamite Entertainment, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.

The show is a satirical take on the superhero genre and showcases a world where superheroes are corporatized and controlled by companies. What happens when these superheroes step out of line and rub some boys the wrong way, is the story.
