Meanwhile, no one’s actually sure if the polarizing rapper will actually contest the elections and if this wasn’t just a publicity stunt for his upcoming album, “God’s Country”. Especially considering that the album’s first single, “Wash Us in the Blood,” was released earlier this week.
However, we do know from past experience that the entertainment industry has an old connection with its political counterpart.
Donald Trump himself was a long familiar face of American TV before he ran for Presidential Elections. Former US prez Ronal Reagan first made his name as an actor in Hollywood before his politics took over America.
So you never know.
Meanwhile, money matters seem to be sorted for the 21-time Grammy winner considering his wife Kim Kardashian West just turned a billionaire with the sales of her latest cosmetic brand, KKW beauty.
It may also be noted that the current prez and vice prez have both raised a few million dollars for the rapper. That money could be used to unseat Trump now.
However, as the YouTuber Marcus Brownlee has popularly commented on Kanye’s tweet from July 4, he’s a bit too late for this elections.
If the 43-year-old is in fact seriously considering running for president, he would have to go independent. Even that will come after he gathers the necessary signatures to get on November’s ballot.
Voters in Indiana, Maine, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina and Texas won’t even get a chance to vote for West now.

Retweeting Kanye’s tweet with an American flag emoji, shows wife Kim’s support to her husband’s declaration.
Mrs West has been recently in and out the White House multiple times to push criminal reform policy.
She most recently visited in March with three other women who had their sentences commuted by the generous president.
Could Kanye defeat Trump?
Now, we know Kanye West and Donald Trump have already discussed the former’s run for presidency back in 2018 after the two had a meeting at the oval office that October. However, West was clear his run would come after (Trump’s reign).
Except now West would have to actually defeat Trump to…I can’t even…win the elections. That is, if he contests, if he is allowed to contest, if he is sober and confirming it on video, like today!

No wait. There’s more. Kanye’s tweet had a very important response from another polarizing celebrity entrepreneur Elon Musk. “You have my full support,” Musk replied to the tweet which has all the potential to go down in history.
