Kantai Collection, or KanColle’s second season, has proven itself to be even more tragic and action-filled than its predecessor in just three episodes. No one knows what’s going to happen next, and honestly, we don’t want to get there either.
The season began sourly, and things are only worsening with each episode for the protagonist Shigure and others. Episode 3 started slightly better off with an improvement in the shipgirls’ conditions, only for them to encounter a huge Abyssal fleet out of nowhere.
As if this wasn’t enough to make us suffer, the episode ended on a cliffhanger, and KanColle season 2’s official website has announced a delay.
KanColle season 2’s fourth episode has been rescheduled to air on December 15 due to ‘production circumstances.’ The franchise will instead rerun episodes 1-3 on the same schedule from November 24 (today) till December 8.
Due to the change in the broadcast date and time, we will broadcast Episode I, “Sortie Day,” on Thursday, November 24.
Also, please check here for future broadcast details.
We would appreciate it if you could wait for the broadcast of Episode IV, “Sasebo,” on December 15.

The season began with the fleet’s numbers decreasing steadily due to the war’s heavy damage. Amid the crisis, the destroyer Shigure is transferred to the 1st Striking Force’s 3rd Section with battleships Yamashiro, Fusou, and more.
Yamashiro informs how the 3rd section is a sacrificial force to distract the Abyssals and will be sent on a suicide mission. The battleship then asks Shigure to protect her sister Fusou no matter what.
During the mission into the Surigao Strait, the 3rd section overcomes various challenges but is overwhelmed by a massive Abyssal fleet waiting for them. They’re almost saved by the timely arrival of the 2nd Striking Force, only for the twin Abyssal Night Strait Princesses to enter the battle.
Soon, with the shipgirls’ combined effort, they can take one princess down while Shigure and Yamashiro try to defeat the other. Due to the heat of the situation, Yamashiro is caught in the explosives meant for the second princess, leaving her status unknown and us with our jaws open.
Episode 4 will determine what happens with Yamashiro and whether or not the fleet comes out victorious in this battle. Since the season is only 8-episodes long, the story will be compact and won’t beat around the bush.
However, it will now take longer to get the answers due to the delay. Till then, you’re free to cook up your own theories and drop them in the comments.
