Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 87: Release Date, Speculations, Read Online

Narumi and #11 indulge in a fierce battle in chapter 84 of Kaiju No. 8, titled “The Only Wall to Have Stood His Way.”

#11 overwhelmed Narumi with his water attacks. Narumi not being able to read #11’s electrical impulses was at a major disadvantage. However, things got worse from there on. 

We learned that #11 had been given Isao’s memory. So, he is able to read and know all of Narumi’s attacks. This leads to Narumi failing in all his attacks. He did, however, manage to stand back up again.

1. Chapter 87 Discussion

Narumi will fight back in chapter 87 of Kaiju No. 8. We will get more epic moments and fight scenes in the next chapter. 

Nothing new or different will happen in the next chapter. I have low hopes of getting any major plot twist as it will all be about their fight and how Narumi surpasses Isao. 

I will be pleasantly surprised if the manga tries something different. Narumi will devise a way to counter all the water attacks and overwhelm #11. I hope we get to see a little about Kafka or other officers.

The chapter starts with a flashback where Narumi tried to land a hit on Isao Shinomiya. He tried in every way possible but failed to land even a single blow on Isao. 

Back in the present, Narumi tries to close the distance between him and monster #11. It has been fifteen minutes since his full release, and he will soon be at his limits. 

He closes the gap, but #11 escapes the blow. He attacks Narumi but blocks the attacks and prepares to strike again. However, #11 knows all of his fighting techniques. 

No matter what Narumi tries, #11 knows it all. #11 tells him that it has all of Isao’s memory in his head. He punches Narumi hard and throws him away, causing some major damage to his ribcage. 

He starts speaking in Isao’s voice and tells him that he will die. Itami thinks that Narumi stands no chance as #11 having Isao’s memory is the worst thing, as no one knew Narumi better than Isao. 

Suddenly, #11 gets hit by a gun. #11 thinks it is just a lucky hit, but Narumi tells him not to look at him like that as he is ready to strike it down. He proceeds to rush ahead and cut #11’s arms, shocking everyone with his move. 

6. About Kaiju No.8

Kaiju No. 8 or Monster #8 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ from July 2020.

In Japan, creatures are known as kaiju frequently attack the nation with the Japanese Defense Force in charge of dealing with and killing them.

Childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro vow to become members of the Defense Force after a kaiju destroys their home. Mina becomes a famous commander of the Force while Kafka fails the exam multiple times and becomes a monster sweeper, those in charge of cleaning up a monster’s dead body.

One day a small talking kaiju enters his body through his mouth and he can now turn into a Kaiju himself. This is dubbed “Kaiju No. 8” by the Defense Force.
