Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 84: Release Date, Speculations, Read Online

Kafka one-punched #13 in chapter 83 of Kaiju No. 8, titled “Destroy Despair Itself.”

It was an epic chapter with some awesome art. After a long time, Kafka is back in action, and he is as unforgiving and awesome as possible. He annihilated #13 with no effort. 

Also, just like any other shounen protagonist, he succeeded in helping Shinomiya get back up on her feet and resume her battle against #15. A highly enjoyable chapter indeed.

1. Chapter 84 Discussion

Shinomiya and #15 will continue their battle in chapter 84 of Kaiju No. 8. We will get more epic moments and fight scenes in the next chapter. 

Kafka will deal with the other kaijus who are causing trouble. I hope #9 appears at the end of the fight. Although, it won’t be an easy battle for even #8. 

I think some major plot twist or big reveal is on its way, as all this might have been just a way to lure #8 to the battlefield. I am excited to see what’s coming next.

The chapter starts with a flashback of Shinomiya warning Kafka not to save him. She tells him that no matter how tough the enemy is, she will defeat it alone.

She just needs him to focus on enemies coming his way.  Rin tells him to stand down, but he refuses and transforms into his Kaiju form. He releases a massive amount of energy that grabs everyone’s attention.

Keiji thought they would use Kafka for the battle against #9, but given the situation, this is the only way to sort out things. #8 can feel everyone’s presence. 

He tells Shinomiya that he will not save her as he believes her. #13 leaps back and starts jogging without moving forward. It starts to grow huge muscles on its thighs.

Then it rushes to attack with a resilience of 9.2. Rin shouts at Kafka to fall back, but Kafka stops #13’s punch with one hand without flinching. Kafka claims that he will destroy all his enemies.

He throws a powerful punch at #13, throwing the kaiju up in the air, breaking the roof, and breaking apart into two halves. All the other monsters get alerted by #13’s destruction.

#15 gets frustrated and is about to leave to deal with #8 when she sees Shinomiya standing up again.

Kaiju No. 8 or Monster #8 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ from July 2020.

In Japan, creatures are known as kaiju frequently attack the nation with the Japanese Defense Force in charge of dealing with and killing them.

Childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro vow to become members of the Defense Force after a kaiju destroys their home. Mina becomes a famous commander of the Force while Kafka fails the exam multiple times and becomes a monster sweeper, those in charge of cleaning up a monster’s dead body.

One day a small talking kaiju enters his body through his mouth and he can now turn into a Kaiju himself. This is dubbed “Kaiju No. 8” by the Defense Force.
