This chapter was all about the build-up to the upcoming epic battles. The sudden entry of so many eminent class monsters left everyone in complete shock, but now it’s time to take charge and bring those monsters down.

The chapter felt really short, given that most of the pages were action sequences.

The monsters aren’t there to kill the commanders, they have a different motive in their minds. Poor Shinomiya has to fight #15 all by herself as the force lacks manpower at the present moment.

Everyone is left in utter shock after five eminent monsters show up at the same time. Kaiju No. 15 attacks Shinomiya and her troop. Shinomiya manages to dodge the attack, but six of her men are annihilated completely.

Narumi figures out that the main motive of the monsters is not to attack their main facilities. Instead, they want to scatter the troops and destroy their top forces. As of now, the military is not able to send any backup. Hence, Shinomiya has to fight #15 by herself and take it down.

Shinomiya thinks that someone else always comes to her rescue whenever she is in any life-or-death situation. So, she boldly accepts to take down the #15 by herself.

She then releases 84% of her full release force. Every other commander takes charge of defeating the other monsters. Narumi targets #11, Hoshina takes on #12, Rin Shinonome takes on #13, and Mina on #14.

Shinomiya takes her stance against #15, commencing the neutralization.

Kaiju No. 8 or Monster #8 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ from July 2020.

In Japan, creatures are known as kaiju frequently attack the nation with the Japanese Defense Force in charge of dealing with and killing them.

Childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro vow to become members of the Defense Force after a kaiju destroys their home. Mina becomes a famous commander of the Force while Kafka fails the exam multiple times and becomes a monster sweeper, those in charge of cleaning up a monster’s dead body.
