Latest ‘One Piece’ Chapter Confirms Gold Roger wasn’t a Devil Fruit User

One Piece chapter 1047 continues Kaido and Luffy’s big battle. Surprisingly, Kaido has enough time to keep up his endless banter during the entirety of the fight, and his latest truth bomb has shaken fans to the core.

Gol D. Roger, also known as Gold Roger, was never a devil fruit user. Now fans have had their suspicion for a while, but Kaido has finally confirmed the wild theories.

Rogers is considered one of the strongest characters in the manga, given that he was the only one to conquer the Grand Line. Thus, haki steals the show if he wasn’t a devil fruit user.

The chapter seems to indicate that haki holds a greater significance over fruits. Proper mastery over haki will lead an individual the conquer anything.

Kaido is confident that Luffy’s fruit powers won’t be enough to defeat him. He has probably defeated enough fruit users in the past to reach this conclusion. Is Kaido waiting for a haki user capable of defeating him?
