Under a sky full of balloon hearts, Kaguya and Miyuki sealed the deal with an ultra-romantic kiss in the Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3 finale.
After teasing fans for three seasons, the show finally gave us Shinomiya and Shirogane’s first kiss, and it was definitely worth the wait. The pair shared this moment on the rooftop during the campfire, surrounded by hundreds of heart-shaped balloons that Miyuki released.
First kisses are extremely special. They have an everlasting impact that even grown-ups cannot help but blush over the memory. So, it’s only natural that Kaguya’s first kiss will have some chaotic after-effects.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait for long to see this as Kadokawa’s Newtype magazine has revealed an anime film for the Kaguya-sama: Love is War series.
The announcement was made in the magazine’s August issue and also revealed the film’s title, ‘Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends.’
According to the news, the film will kick off right after the season 3 finale. It will adapt the manga’s The First Kiss Never Ends arc that shows the beginning of Kaguya and Miyuki’s relationship as a couple (finally).
The whole arc will feature the pair exploring each other’s interests, thoughts, and feelings. Cute, right?
Also, let’s not forget that the love rivals have only shared a kiss and didn’t explicitly confess their feelings to each other. This means there will be even more chaos around it than before because Kaguya is stuck on getting a confession, while Miyuki might not get her hints about it.
After this arc, the show will focus a bit more on the supporting characters and their love lives. For instance, the season 3 finale teased some strong chemistry between Yu and Miko, so I’m really excited about that.
The finale raised the bar so high that I doubt any other romance anime can top that this year.
