Kaguya then metaphorically explains the situation between Iino and Osaragi to him. After hearing this, Miyuki states that the solution to it is straightforward, but Kaguya disagrees. 

Kaguya goes on to explain how liking someone does not always have to be in a romantic way. You could like someone and not want them as your significant other.

Both of them are now in doubt as to which is the right option when it comes to pursuing a relationship or preserving a friendship. 

Just then, Osaragi enters and tells Miyuki that the disciplinary committee head wants to meet him. On the way out, Iino comes in front of them, and Miyuki could sense the animosity in the air between her and Osaragi. 

Iino enters the student council room, and Kaguya asks her if she will make up with Osaragi. Iino clearly says that she does not want to associate herself with people who speak ill about others behind their backs. 

Kaguya tries explaining how it’s not so simple and continues to tell her how she should not be so self-centered and think about situations from the other person’s perspective also.

The chapter ends with Kaguya telling Iino how she will not be able to acknowledge her as a student council president if she cannot even make up with one of her best friends.
