Kaguya-sama Chapter 205: Release Date, Delay, and Discussions

In Chapter 204, we see Ishigami confessing to Tsubame under the cherry blossom tree. Ishigami earnestly requests her to go out with him. But to Ishigami’s dismay, Tsubame rejects his proposal.

Later we see Tsubame rejecting his heartfelt confession and them parting ways as friends.

What led Tsubame to such a decision?

1. Chapter 205 Discussions and Predictions

The fans of the manga series predict that the student council president will find some way to cheer Ishigami back up.

Tsubame rejecting Ishigami’s proposal was something the fans were already expecting.

But the fans fear that even though Ishigami and Tsubame have decided to become friends, their awkwardness and Ishigami’s lingering feelings might get in the way and they might end up distancing from each other.

In a leaked image of Kaguya-sama chapter 205, Kaguya is seen with tears in her eyes and with an apologetic expression on her face. We also find Ishigami surprised by the student council president’s sudden apology.

5. Recap of Chapter 204

In chapter 204 titled “Tsubame Koyasu and Yu Ishigami: Part 2”, Ishigami confesses his love for Tsubame under the cherry blossom tree.

Ishigami remembers everything he loves about Tsubame. He remembers her eyes, hands, smile and every kind gesture she did that made him fall for her even more.

Shaken by his sudden confession, Tsubame kindly rejects him. She confesses that she feared how to tell him the truth without hurting him.

She explains, although she does like him a lot, she cannot see him as a romantic partner and not telling him the truth was just delaying the inevitable.

She even went out of her way to know the truth about Ishigami from Otomo’s point of view.  She requested her peers to help clear the misunderstanding everyone had about Ishigami.

She wanted everyone to know that her rejecting him was not out of hatred.

Tsubame asks Ishigami to stay friends and even though this seems unfair to Ishigami he agrees to be her friend. Ishigami then congratulates her on her graduation and gifts a flower bouquet.

With Tsubame gone, Ishigami breaks down crying from the heartbreak.

How will the Student Council President cheer him up? We can only find out in chapter 205.

6. About Kaguya-sama

Kaguya sama wa Kokurasetai is a Japanese seinen manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka.

It began serialization in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

It follows Student council president Miyuki Shirogane and Vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya, who appear to be the perfect couple.

Kaguya is the daughter of a wealthy conglomerate family, and Miyuki is the top student at the school and well-known across the prefecture.

Although they like each other, they are too proud to confess their love as they believe whoever does so first would lose.

The story follows their many schemes to make the other one declare their passion first! As of December 2019, the manga had over 9 million copies in print.
