Love can be all sorts of things. It can be sweet, sour, calm, chaotic, cheerful, or sad, and ‘Kaguya-sama: Love is War’ is the kind of story that proves this.
Kaguya and Miyuki’s romance has shown us the many different faces of love through the years, and now it’s time for the sad part of it.
The latest trailer for ‘Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends-’ shows the melancholic nature of love and the difficult stage in the pair’s relationship.
It also previews the film’s opening theme song ‘Love is Show’ by Masayuki Suzuki featuring Reni Takagi.
As we saw at the end of season 3, Kaguya and Miyuki finally had their first kiss, signifying happy days for the couple. However, the manga’s next arc, which is being adapted as a film, is nothing like we expected.
From the trailer itself, we can see how the two are breaking apart and being miserable all because they’re overthinking their kiss. This is one of the most real things the story has shown till now because their kiss was so abrupt that none of them had the time to think about it.
Besides all that, Kaguya and Miyuki still haven’t confessed to each other or defined their relationship, leading to more confusion and anxiety. What’s worse is that both are way too stubborn and competitive to pour out their feelings in front of the other.
Moreover, Aniplex of America has revealed that the film will begin its theatrical screening in the U.S. in February 2023. The movie is slated to premiere in Japan on December 17, 2022.
Given the time of its release and as shown in the trailer, the film will take place during Christmas, the most underrated ultra-romantic time of the year.
