Kageki Shoujo!! Episode 9: Release Date, Speculation, and Watch Online

Kageki Shoujo!! Episode 8, titled “Kaoru’s Summer,” was aired this week. 

So far, we saw that Sarasa was deeply affected by her instructor Ando’s criticism. She decided to go back to her home and asked Ai to accompany her. Intricate details of Sarasa’s past were revealed to gauge her current predicament.

Detailed insight into Kaoru’s life before coming to Kouka was also shown. We got to know more about the troubles she went through to keep up with the image of being the granddaughter and daughter of Kouka stars. Later, she promised herself to confess her feelings to her childhood friend.

Episode 9 Speculations and Discussions

Episode 9 is titled “The Two Juliets.” 

Now that our girls are more experienced after going through continuous training, we will probably see a few of them outshine the others. 

It’s not that the others are doing anything wrong, but just hard work will never triumph over a person who is both naturally talented and hardworking. 

Soon, they will be contending to be the top Kouka stars, and I’m sure the scouting process is going to begin really soon. This will be a new chapter in the lives of the girls.

Episode 9 Release Date

Episode 9 of the Kageki Shoujo!! anime, titled “The Two Juliets”, has been released on Sunday, Aug 29, 2021.

I. Is Kageki Shoujo!! on Break This Week?

No, Kageki Shoujo!! is not on break this week. Episode 9 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 8

Episode 8, titled “Kaoru’s Summer,” starts off with Ai and Sarasa heading back from their hometown to resume their semester at Kouka.

The rest of the students also return to school and ready themselves for the upcoming semester. 

Everyone is in awe after seeing that Hoshino has cut her hair short. She feels embarrassed as everyone compliments her new look.

The episode then cuts to Hoshino’s past, during the summer before being accepted to Kouka.

Everybody at school thought of her as peculiar for using an umbrella (to hold herself back from getting a tan) when most secondary school young girls don’t do the same. 

She was also feeling overburdened since she was being compared with her grandma and mom, both previous Kouka stars. 

Yet, because of this particular aspect, she became acquainted with a secondary school kid named Rikuto Tsuji, the sibling of a renowned baseball player. 

Their similar circumstances made them hang out together and they even ended up as a couple.

Even so, they had a fallout following a conflict of convictions. They both hoped the best for the other and parted ways, but Hoshino had unresolved feelings.

Back to the present, Sarasa shows Kaoru a picture of a bus station on her telephone. 

Kaoru sees that it is the bus station where she and Rikuto had initially met. It had a note taped to its divider – from Rikuto, saying thanks to her. 

He is still playing baseball. Grinning discreetly, Kaoru admits to Sarasa that it’s a heartfelt gesture. 

The episode ends with her promising herself that when she is a top Kouka star, she would hold him a front seat at the SS segment of the theater and presumably even admit her feelings for him.

Kageki Shoujo! is a Japanese manga series by Kumiko Saiki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Jump Kai from 2012. An anime television series adaptation by Pine Jam is scheduled to air in July 2021.

The Kouka Kageki Musical Drama Academy is a high school that teaches musical theater like that at the Takarazuka Revue, and splits its actresses into those who play male and female roles.

Ai Narada is a former idol who becomes a musume-yaku (female role) actress and meets Sarasa Watanabe, a simple farm girl who is an otoko-yaku (male role) actress.
