Akiya explains Sarasa’s past to Ai when she meets him. He tells her how Sarasa is Kozaburou’s ill-conceived girl, as he is married to the daughter of Kaou Shirakawa, a fifteenth-era Kabuki entertainer viewed as an irreplaceable asset.

Akiya is also born to the Kabuki family and is preparing to be Kaou’s successor. As a kid, Sarasa herself showed ability for Kabuki. She was also featured in one particular performance of the Sukeroku.

She was seen as a hindrance in Akiya’s path of becoming Kaou’s successor, thus her Kabuki educator said out loud that she could never perfect Sukeroku.

After talking with Ai, Akiya, who is Sarasa’s boyfriend, took her and Ai out to town.

Since he knew that Sarasa is troubled, he mentions that Kabuki entertainers are compelled to attempt new things and simultaneously keep up with old practices while engaging crowds.

Furthermore, to satisfy those assumptions, entertainers ought to have devotion to it. Akiya then gives them passes to an exhibition of Sukeroku. He states that he wants her to witness his commitment to the art.

That evening, Sarasa describes to Ai her experience as a Kabuki entertainer. Sarasa sheds tears as they watch Akiya perform at the Kabuki play, as she is reminded of her late grandma.

The episode ends with Sarasa and Ai preparing to leave and Akiya advising Sarasa never to forget focusing on her objective and always keep going.
