Yukiru Sugisaki’s D.N. Angel is a Japanese manga series that premiered in the Kadokawa Shoten Shojo magazine Monthly Asuka in November 1997.
It follows Daisuke Niwa, an ordinary middle school student who was born with a genetic condition that could be cured with his love being returned to him.
Kadokawa’s online listing for the January 2021 issue of Monthly Asuka magazine reported that Yukiru Sugisaki’s D.N.Angel manga will end after three more chapters.
The magazine reported in February 2019 about the manga approaching its climax. The original author, Yukiru Sugisaki later stated that the manga will end in the upcoming chapters.
The manga went on an extended hiatus in August 2005 and later returned in the April 2008 issue.
While the primary series was on hiatus, a second manga series, D.N. Angel TV Animation Series began serialization in Monthly Asuka. The manga resumed in Monthly Asuka in May 2018.
New complete editions of the manga volumes would be released from January 2021. These editions of the manga will ship two volumes a month for five months from January to May.
They will include content from the 15 volumes of the original manga, as well as the latest chapters including the conclusion. Each volume will have around 330 pages, will feature new covers, and will be A5 in page size.
Xebec Studio adapted D.N.Angel into a television anime series in 2003, and A.D. Vision and Discotek Media released the anime in North America.
