Is Flyting Duel with Jungulf necessary to the story, or is it a side quest?
To be precise, Flyting Duels are mysteries. Mysteries are Valhalla’s way of presenting you with side quests. Therefore, your rap battle with Jungulf is not mandatory to the story. However, it helps you gain Charisma, unlocking a few extra dialogue options that make the game a little easier.

Jungulf can be located in Repton’s Shipyard, where the player docks their longship. He will be standing with another man, and upon interacting with him, the Flyting duel will begin.
