With just a few hours to go for 2021’s most highly anticipated drama Snowdrop’s premiere, JTBC has released a few stills to give fans a heads-up.
The stills released are of Snowdrop’s premiere episode, which focuses on Im Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Eun Young-ro’s (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo) first chance encounter.
One of the stills shows a group of 8 people sitting in a coffee shop, all dressed up. The four men and women have been set up on a blind date, including Soo-ho and Young-ro.
The stills draw special attention to Yoon Seol-hee (Choi Hee-jin) and Go Hye-ryeong’s (Jung Shin-hye) expression as they look down on phone operator Kye Boon-ok’s (Kim Hye-yoon) loud fashion and makeup.
Kye Boon-ok’s bright red outfit, curly open hair, and beret imply that she wants to gain everyone’s attention.
However, Im Soo-ho, who has never been on a blind date before, seems to pay more attention to Eun Young-ro.
What would the star-crossed lovers’ first encounter look like? Is the blind date just a fateful coincidence, or is it a part of a bigger picture?
The preview stills also capture the late 1980s vibe, with a vintage, warm filter throughout.
Even though one tends to dress up to stand out on a blind date, Eun Young-ro participates without much makeup on and is the least decked up among any of her friends.
While others don a matching beret with their jacket and a scarf, the lead chooses to go simple with minimal accessories.
Soo-ho looks the neatest in the men’s group (though the other men don’t get much of the spotlight). Dressed in a beige jacket, a full group still shows Soo-ho’s head turned towards Young-ro.
It’s not just Soo-ho feeling a shift in the air, though. As the production team stated, both the leads feel the tension in the air.
Watch how Soo-ho and Young-ro’s relationship takes flight before it comes crashing down in Snowdrop’s premiere today, at 10.30 PM KST on JTBC and Disney Plus.
