Jumanji 4 has been confirmed by series producer Hiram Garcia, who says that big plans are underway.
The Jumanji franchise is among the most beloved ones around the world. Earlier, Jumanji: The Next Level, which starred Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman, was released in 2019. Recently, the movie director disclosed that Jumanji 4 is in the works via a post on Instagram.
While The Next Level came just two years after Welcome to the Jungle, it might not be the case with the fourth film. The COVID-19 pandemic has halted the development and release of several movies. So, it is assumed that Jumanji 4 will take longer than its predecessors to come to theatres.
According to a recent Comic Book interview with the president of the production at Seven Bucks Productions, Hiram Garcia said,
“You know, we’re always having conversations, and that’s a family, that entire group if there’s ever been. It’s hard to imagine or remember a time I’ve been on a set where it’s just a beloved group of cast and crew and actors and that’s just one of those things where we know we have a really big idea that we want to do with it. We’ve been discussing it. There’ve been conversations going on, we’re in the process of moving that along. I can’t tell you anything, but we do have big plans for it and that’s one of our favorite projects to work on and that’s cooking away.”

The arrival of animals from the game into the real world is teased during Jumanji: The Next Level’s end credits. However, it’s debatable that a melding of the two could be what’s next. Fans of the franchise are already well aware that this strategy was at the center of 1995’s original Jumanji, and so Jumanji 4 will certainly have to go bigger.
It will also be intriguing to watch how Jumanji 4 deals with the issue of Jack Black’s evident retirement from acting. However, the 51-year-old hasn’t entirely said goodbye to the profession. He previously stated that it’s certainly on the cards. However, fans of the franchise and Black would surely want the entire cast to return when the fourth film does eventually get off the ground.
