When Will the Manga Come to an End?
The manga is currently still in the “Shinjuku Showdown Arc.” where everyone is still giving their all to bring Ryomen Sukuna down. While the struggle has progressed a lot from when it initially began, we are still kept in the dark about how it will progress. It is still safe to assume that the manga will conclude by the end of the year or early 2025.
Since the anime ended on the “Shibuya Incident Arc”, there is still about 130 chapters left to be animated. This is about the same amount that has already been animated, so we can assume that it will take at least another 4-5 years for the anime to wrap up.
What’s happening in Jujutsu Kaisen Now
The Shinjuku Showdown Arc starts with Gojo facing off with Sukuna. They have an all-out battle having their domains clash with each other, but Sukuna, with all his existent abilities and having Mahoraga on his side, was too much for Gojo to deal with. Gojo met his unfortunate demise in chapter 236 at the hands of Sukuna.
Although everyone was shaken by Gojo’s death, they were not given a minute to mourn as Kashimo and several others were next in line to battle Sukuna. At the same time, Hakari traps Uraume within his domain so she wouldn’t aid Sukuna in his battle.
Higuruma, Choso, and Itadori quickly join the battle after Kashimo is defeated. Sukuna outplays Higuruma when he opens his domain and even Higuruma gets killed.
Sukuna later uses the Divine Flames that he had used on Jogo against Itadori and Choso. This time Choso sacrifices his life to protect Itadori. Following this, Itadori reunites with Todo on the battlefield.
After this, with the help of Todo and his new and improved Boogie Woogie, Itadori lands 7 consecutive black flashes on Sukuna. At this point, Sukuna, who was going to open his domain, sees Gojo and is shocked.
It is later revealed that Yuuta copied Kenjaku’s cursed technique to take over Gojo’s body in order to battle the weakened Sukuna once again.
The latest chapter 262, part 2, shows how Yuuta is in a predicament as all of Gojo’s techniques are incredibly hard to use. Since Yuuta couldn’t use multiple copied techniques at once, Sukuna had the upper hand. However, with the help of Inumaki’s cursed technique, Yuuta manages to immobilize Sukuna and prepares for an attack.
