Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271 Spoilers: Gege, When I Catch You

The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen after more than six years full of unforgettable moments has finally arrived. However, the fans are unsatisfied with the build-up leading to this ending. The unresolved issues have left many discontent, leading to demands for emotional and narrative reparations. It’s a sentiment that many of us share. Pay for everyone’s therapy, Gege.

The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen is an unexpectedly quiet one. If you haven’t been following Jujutsu Kaisen closely, it’s important to realize that chapter 271 had quite the lead-up starting from the Culling Games Arc.

What Did the Chapter 270 of Jujutsu Kaisen Entail?

In the previous chapter, Yuji and his friends were tasked with a simple mission. The trio came across an ordinary pair in the urban area who had encountered a supernatural disturbance. The remaining spiritual energy from the Culling Game is affecting the real world, causing ordinary individuals to witness residual curses.

Megumi is the one who unpacks the stunning reveal, saying, “Just like Ijichi said, the effect of the residuals are just a little pesky… The main body of the cursed spirit isn’t possessing anyone, but there are diluted residuals. Plus the victim is experiencing minor difficulties.”

Clearly, the Culling Game is still causing problems long after its end. Kenjaku dreamed up the event ages ago, and he was able to put the Culling Game into effect after killing Mahito. Through the curse’s power to manipulate the soul, many ordinary people were bestowed with cursed techniques and transformed into sorcerers against their will. Several individuals lost their lives in the Culling Game—however, a few managed to make it through alive. And in the wake of the transformation, people are still impacted by the cursed energy Kenjaku unleashed.

The last chapter mainly revolves around our main trio, Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi, helping the couple with the curse. However, the heart of the last chapter of the series is less about the curse they’re dealing with and more about the introspective thoughts of Yuji Itadori and the other characters after defeating Sukuna in a battle that has been going on for well over a year in the manga. One of the highlights is the final chapter gives Sukuna a satisfactory ending (but just him).

Spoilers of Chapter 271 of Jujutsu Kaisen

Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271, “The Continuation of a Dream,” started right where the last chapter ended, with Kugisaki Nobara mentioning her inability to detect the seal or any technique’s impact on the girl, suggesting the curse was cast by someone highly skilled.

The three Jujutsu Sorcerers try to figure out how and where the technique was possibly activated. After seeing a sneak peek of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271, Nobara proposes they journey to a distant location to deactivate the technique, which Itadori agrees to. However, Megumi does not agree with the plan. Instead, he tries to devise a plan to reveal the person using the curse.

The Jujutsu Sorcerers discuss and decide on the coordinates of the radius of the cursed technique. The woman can soon see her fiance’s face normally again as the curse wears off. Right away, the three Jujutsu sorcerers detect the presence of the technique’s caster and promptly make their way to the location.

The caster gave himself up because he was a random person (really, Gege?). Following that, Afterward, Yuji and the sorcerer engaged in a discussion leading up to one of the highlights of the leaks of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271 – a flashback sequence in the chapter, which features Yuji having one last conversation with Gojo before the latter’s fight with Sukuna.

In the flashback, Gojo briefly talks about how he has love and dreams of his own, expressing his belief that one day, students like Yuji will grow up and get stronger than he was and eventually outgrow their memories of him.

Yuji scoffs at this, wishing never to forget Gojo. It’s a touching moment when Gojo informs Yuji he has exceeded his expectations as a student and has great expectations for him. This means much more, considering how much of Yuji’s initial time at the school was spent learning with and from Gojo.

The spoilers for the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen concluded with everyone grinning and leaving in separate groups to head into the sunset. At the same time, Ryomen Sukuna’s last finger remained in the same booth as the first chapter.

End of a Journey

From the current leaks, it appears that there are still major unresolved lore-related problems, like the overseas invasion mentioned in the culling games, or the rampant cursed spirits following the culling games, or even Sukuna’s defeat aftermath. However, leaks often have a rough translation so we cannot fully trust them.

Still, the rushed and anti-climactic portrayal has left many devoted fans feeling bitter. While waiting for the official chapter to be out, the fans are continuing to mourn the potential ending regardless. As things settle down, one undeniable fact remains- the fandom will not forget this conclusion anytime soon.
