Chapter 267 of Jujutsu Kaisen left off in an unbelievable spot. We discovered that our beloved Nobara was still alive, and her timely usage of Resonance brought Yuuji one step closer to defeating Sukuna. The chapter ended with Yuuji declaring that he would be the one to end Sukuna.
With only four chapters remaining for the manga to conclude, let’s see what Gege Akutami, the author, has cooked up in the upcoming chapter. Please be cautious, though, as we will immerse ourselves in spoilers.
Sukuna and Megumi- Who Prevailed?
The leaks from Twitter (X) revealed that the upcoming chapter begins with Sukuna having a conversation with Megumi in his mind. He tries to make Megumi feel bad by telling him he had the audacity to keep living on even after killing his own sister.
When Sukuna asked Megumi to just let himself be taken over, Megumi asked Sukuna why he was so desperate. This is funny because, until the previous chapter, Sukuna showed much bravado and confidence, but he seemed to be afraid now. This is because Nobara’s resonance and Yuuji’s consecutive black flashes had him pincered.

Megumi then admitted that he never had the intention to live a normal life in the beginning. However, now, even though his sister died, he would try to live again for someone else.
Yuuji’s Domain and Sukuna’s Life Crumbles
The scene swaps to reality, where we see Yuuji’s domain getting undone. At this point, Sukuna’s reincarnation is getting undone. Sukuna screams as he is torn off of Megumi. In the end, only a small residual of Sukuna remains on the ground. With this, Megumi is finally free from Sukuna’s possession.
Yuuji looked down at Sukuna with pity and told him that even if no one accepted him, he (Yuuji) was willing to live with Sukuna—not so that he could harm anyone, but only to coexist. Sukuna scoffed at this and refused, holding on to his pride as a “curse.”
Hakari vs Uraume
Hakari’s battle against Uraume started several chapters ago; however, there has been no updates on them ever since.
Amidst their fight, Uraume realized that Sukuna had died in battle. When Hakari asked what they would do next, Uraume told him that this was simply the end. She then said all the humans were lucky as the only reason Sukuna lost was because he used the body of an incarnation and proceeded to say that the humans should consider themselves lucky that they were born a thousand years later.
Hakari felt happy when she said they were lucky and told her that it was the biggest compliment he could’ve gotten. She agreed to this as her body crumbled.
A Happy Conclusion?
The scene shifted to Megumi waking up to see Itadori and Nobara acting like their usual goofy selves. Anyone would be brought to tears if they saw a scene as nostalgic as this one. When Megumi asked what they were doing, they both replied, “A Kugisaki survival surprise.”
When Megumi gave a bland response to this, Nobara sulked, saying normally, people would give a more emotional response when they found out that the friend they thought died, was in fact, alive. To this, Yuuji admitted that he cried a little when Nobara hit Sukuna with her resonance.
Megumi explained that it wasn’t actually a surprise for him as he was watching everything happen from within Sukuna’s consciousness.
After this, Yuuji handed out two letters—one to Nobara and the other to Megumi. They were letters that Gojo had entrusted to Shoko. Although all of them were creeped out because they didn’t expect Gojo to be the kind of person who would write letters, they read each of theirs.
Nobara immediately crumpled her letter, saying it contained information on her mother’s whereabouts. She had no intention of seeing her mother, and she wasn’t curious about her either.
Megumi burst out laughing while reading his letter. This had Itadori and Nobara shocked as they had never seen Megumi laugh so heartily.

The curious Nobara and Itadori peeked to see the letter, which read: ” Unfortunately, your father isn’t around anymore!! Cuz I killed him!! Sowwy!!”
After this, Nobara said they had to meet up with Maki and the others and asked Megumi to join too. When Megumi noticed a sudden tense environment, he asked what was going on, and Yuuji replied, “It’s about Yuuta”.
When they regrouped, Itadori announced that they all had to save Yuuta. The chapter concluded here, without addressing the mystery behind Yuuta’s disappearance. After controlling the whole battle and leading them to victory, our true hero is nowhere to be seen.
