Well, to those fans who are in the dumps about how all our favorite characters are dying, here’s a little something: Nobara is back! The raw scans from the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen have revealed that Nobara will be back in action once again.
What Will Happen in Chapter 267?
The Explaination for Yuuta’s Shrine:
The new chapter starts with a flashback scene where we get to see a discussion between Itadori, Yuuta, and Mei-Mei. Here, Yuuta revealed the conditions for him to be able to copy Sukuna’s shrine.
To copy the Shrine, Rika has to digest a part of the target’s body. Although sometimes a more powerful technique requires a more important part of the body, this deficit can be made up using binding vows.
After this, Yuuta assured Itadori that Sukuna’s cursed technique has been etched into Itadori’s body and that Gojo had already confirmed this with his six eyes. So even if Itadori couldn’t use it immediately, he should be able to use it at some point in the future.
Following this, we’re brought back to the present, where Sukuna and Yuuji are fighting within Yuuji’s domain. Sukuna notices that Yuuji is missing two fingers. He knows that he himself stole one to take over Megumi’s body. The next moment, Sukuna is in awe when he realized that Yuuta had copied the Shrine using Itadori’s finger!
Where Nobara Comes In:
In the scene after this, the location of Sukuna’s original last finger is revealed. The special grade cursed object, which is Sukuna’s finger, may be fully resistant to physical or Jujutsu-based attacks. However, is it fully impervious to all cursed techniques?
This is where Nobara walks in, hammer in one hand, nail in the other. Being the badass she is, she hammers a nail into Sukuna’s finger and used Resonance, preventing Sukuna from opening his domain.
Itadori used this opening to blast Sukuna with dismantle and caught Sukuna off guard. They exchanged a couple of blows after this, where Sukuna got roped into a barrage of attacks from Itadori. Yuuji finally drops a Black Flash onto Sukuna while declaring that it’s time to end Sukuna.
How Is Nobara Back?
Nobara went out of the picture at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 when Mahito used his idle transfiguration on Nobara’s face. We fans watched in horror as her eye exploded in our faces.
While her death was never confirmed in the series, fans still held onto hope. This was because it was said that she still had a chance to survive. In the end, Mahito will never be forgiven, not by Itadori or us fans.
So, how is Nobara still alive now? While the explanation is yet to be released. We do know for sure that this was a part of Yuuta’s huge plan. Itadori definitely had to be kept in the dark about Nobara because of the “Resonance” that he and Sukuna share since Nobara’s cursed technique is certainly effective against Sukuna.
Since the Jujutsu sorcerers have very resourceful Shoko on their side, she can do wonders with her reverse cursed technique. This must be one of the reasons how Nobara managed to survive despite having a hole in her face.
What Happened in Chapter 266?
Chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen featured the beginning of Sukuna and Itadori’s fight from within the domain. Sukuna was buying time in order to revive his cursed technique while using a low output technique called Hollow Wicker Basket.
While the battle drew out, Itadori found Megumi somewhere in Sukuna’s consciousness and expressed his sadness to him, causing Megumi’s consciousness to come back slowly.
The chapter ended when Sukuna attempted to expand his domain after recovering his cursed technique. We also got to see a glimpse of Sukuna’s last finger.
