In chapter 166, titled “Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 6,” Higuruma thought about his days being a lawyer and was recommended to be a judge. His gavel turned into an executioner’s sword with Itadori’s sentence.
Higuruma, while sentencing Itadori, thought about the stress his job brought him. He then tried to understand why Itadori admitted to the crime even after knowing it was Sukuna controlling him.
Higuruma then confirmed Itadori’s innocence given the circumstances. In the end, Higuruma said he’d give Itadori the hundred points and had a chat with him.
Itadori faces his guilt from the Shibuya incident with Higuruma. How will the events progress from here in the Culling games? Let’s find out as we bring you the latest chapter updates of the manga.

The chapter displays the final encounter with Higuruma and we get to see Fushiguro face against Reggie. Higuruma calls his Kogane and uses his points to add a rule as Itadori requested. Itadori wants Higuruma to team up with him but he declines the offer and leaves. Kenjaku is seen invited for a meeting with some officials in China.
Fushiguro gets cornered with Reggie when a random guy tries to attack him from the back. Fushiguro uses Divine Dog to fight Reggie while he takes down the other guy with Hue. On the last page, we see an eyeball dropping from the sky and exploding. What does this mean?

As Higuruma got introduced a few chapters ago, readers have liked this character, not just his skills but also his behavior. I feel Higuruma’s character background is well written, and Itadori will develop more with this encounter.
Higuruma is willing to give Itadori the hundred points, and they sit for a chat. What will Higuruma talk about that will help Itadori with his guilt? Will Higuruma be part of the team in the Culling games?
We still have Fushiguro’s fight left, and the Tokyo colony two is yet to be seen, making everything so interesting at this point. The artwork has been great as well for such fight scenes in these chapters.

I. Is Jujutsu Kaisen on Break This Week?
Chapter 167 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is unfortunately on a break this week. It will continue in the next issue after a week, as usual.
The reason for this one-week delay has not been announced yet. We can only assume it is due to the author, Gege Akutami’s health and well-being.
4. Recap of Chapter 166
This chapter starts with Higuruma recalling the time he was practicing law. He gets asked by a senior member about his aspirations and is recommended to be a judge. Higuruma replies he can’t and states he’s not cut out for it.
Getting back to the fight with Itadori, Higuruma explains the sentence of Judgeman. He states the highest sentence given is the death penalty with confiscation. With that, his gavel turns into an executioner’s sword. It is mentioned anyone getting cut by the sword will die.
Higuruma thinks that he is too stressed over his job to empathize with humans. He then mentions to Itadori how darkness lies in his eyes and shining light will make no difference. As he speaks, chairs are flung at Higuruma by Itadori.
Itadori uses his hoodie to deceive Higuruma with the chairs and tries to trip him. Higuruma evades his attacks and moves in to execute Itadori. As Higuruma goes in for the attack, he thinks why Itadori confessed to the crime in Shibuya.
It is revealed that the evidence is already shared with the sorcerer by Judgeman before opening it. Knowing that Sukuna committed the mass murders without Itadori’s free will, Higuruma questions Itadori’s decision on the case.
With these thoughts, Higuruma dispels the gavel and gets punched by Itadori. Higuruma then tells Itadori about a penal code of showing no control in his action in Shibuya. He then states that because Itadori didn’t voluntarily give up control, he is innocent.
Itadori still feels it’s his fault and asks why Higuruma dispelled his sword. Higuruma replies it’s because he remembered why he became a lawyer in the first place. As Higuruma tells Itadori to grab a seat, he mentions he’ll give him the hundred points.
With both seated, Higuruma asks Itadori if he’s killed anyone of his own will to which Itadori replies he has. Understanding this, Higuruma further asks him, saying, “Didn’t it feel awful?”
