In Chapter 153, Fushiguru and Itadori start looking for Kinji Hakari of the Third Year, who got expelled by Jujutsu High. They come across an illegal fight club that is managed and funded by Hakari himself.
They allow Itadori to participate in the fights but rejects Fushiguru since Hakari wanted to keep an eye on his actions.
Before parting ways, Fyshiguru reminds Itadori one last time that they will use violence only as their last resort since their ultimate goal is to seek Hakari’s cooperation.
The fight moderator explains the two rules of this illegal fight club. He asks him to make the fight look as appealing as possible and forbids him from running away. The second rule forbids him from using cursed techniques since most of the spectators are non-sorcerers.
Itadori is also told that there are two types of matches, the scripted and the unscripted ones. Many fighters receive high payments for playing along in scripted fights, but that’s not the case for Itadori.
Luckily, it turns out that Itadori’s opponent is his Jujutsu High senior, Panda. During the fight, Panda reveals that he is trying to gain Hsakari’s trust and keeps his identity as a sorcerer secret from everyone else.
The fight goes on for a while and ends up with Itadori emerging victorious in his first underworld fight. It’s evident that Panda lost the match purposely let Itadori infiltrate further into the fight club.
We get to see another third year, Hoshi Kirara, who seems to be Hakari’s girlfriend and is with him. Seeing the match between Itadori and Panda, Hakari gets convinced that he’s not gonna lose to anyone else.
